A Rope Climbing Comp

Anchors Away is our blowout rope climbing competition at The Spot Louisville. Get ready for exciting competition routes, thrilling finals rounds, FREE food, FREE beer (21+), fun challenges like crate stacking, tables from your favorite brands, and BIG raffle prizes from your favorite brands!
This will be a redpoint competition for all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re new to top roping or you’ve been lead climbing for years, Anchors Away is for you! We’ll have categories for all skill levels, multiple gender categories, an exciting finals round, and cash prizes.
You must have your own belay partner for Anchors Away. All belayers must be belay certified at The Spot BEFORE April 5. Belayers can be competitors or spectators.

New Category: Paraclimbing
For the first time ever, we’re introducing a paraclimbing category at a Spot comp!
This category is for climbers with self-identified physical disabilities and is not paraset. We are excited to work toward making our comps more accessible for all athletes, and we recognize there is still room for growth. We can’t wait to climb with you and invite your feedback!

Keep the party rolling at John’s Table, staying open late till 11pm for an afterparty featuring our partners at Rab Equipment! No need to move your car—John’s Table is right next door. Cheers!

The Spot Louisville will be closed all day April 5 & 6 for Anchors Away and two USAC comps.
We will also have routesetting closures all week leading up to the comps. Our other gyms will remain unaffected.

We need volunteers for the Youth QE! Volunteer to help the next generation of climbers, and receive free QE spectator tickets, free lunch, and three free day passes to The Spot! If you volunteer to belay, make sure you obtain your belay certification at the gym BEFORE April 5.

Important Note to CNQE Competitors
CNQE competitors, and representatives of potential CNQE competitors, MAY NOT enter or view into the competition area at The Spot Louisville from now until allowed entry on Saturday for the Youth QE. All competitors and representatives may still visit our other gyms this week!
