We’re so pleased to welcome Connor Griffith back to The Spot’s setting team after a hiatus. After traveling the US and world to climb, Connor’s problems are inspired creations and folks seem to love them. Plus he’s got a great attitude. Glad to have you back on the team Connor!

Why did you join the team at The Spot?
I’m joining the team for the second time! I left for a couple years while I lived in Denver. But I always missed being part of the Spot setting crew.

What do you love about working at The Spot?
I love the challenge of setting here. It’s not easy, but the outcome of the work usually turns out highly creative and unique. Also, it’s a privilege to work with a strong, experienced team of setters.

Why do you climb?
I climb to challenge my body and mind. I climb in order to interact with the natural world. I climb for those rare moments of success – without all the failure, it’s meaningless.

Where do you hope to be in 5 years?
I hope to still be living in this area. This region of the States is my home. I don’t know of a better place from which I can access all of my favorite landscapes: the mountains, the desert, the prairies and canyons. I will be here, doing what I love.

Anything else you’d like to tell folks?
Avoid complacency.
