Introduction to Outdoor Climbing
Learn belay skills, movement, and technique on the rock. Spend the day top rope climbing
at one of the beautiful crags in Boulder. Great for first time climbers and as a refresher course
to get you started for the outdoor season.

Gear Placement & Anchor Building
Learn to place stoppers, hexes, tri-cams, and cams for anchors and for lead protection.
Evaluate and use natural anchors (trees and rocks) to build top rope anchors. Use webbing,
rope, and cordelettes to build solid EARNEST anchors that you and your friends can trust.

Lead Climbing
Learn how to belay a leader and catch a lead fall. Learn when and how to place gear, and
use draws and slings to extend slings. Learn how to take a lead fall safely. Use mock leads
to practice and prepare for the sharp end of the rope.

Multi-pitch Instruction
Perfect for those interested in moving from top rope climbing to longer climbs of several
rope lengths and multiple belays. Learn rope management, belay stance selection and management,
gear management, and rappel skills.
