- HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO CLIMB AT THE SPOT?
Youth 12 years old or older can climb in the gym unaccompanied. Youth under 12 years old must have adult supervision or have passed the “Youth Bouldering Qualification Test.”
- WHAT AGE GROUP(S) DOES THE SPOT HAVE PROGRAM OFFERINGS FOR?
The Spot offers climbing programs for people 6 years old and up.
- DO YOU OFFER A YOUTH DISCOUNT?
The Spot offers youth (under 12 years old) discounted day passes for $11.
- WHAT DAYS DOES THE SPOT OFFER PROGRAMMING?
There are scheduled programs every weekday and custom programs available any day of the week.
- DOES THE SPOT HOST BIRTHDAY PARTIES?
Yes. We offer a 2 hour package for $20 per person including: professional instruction, 1.5 hours of climbing, ½ hour of café area use, shoes & harnesses. We have three time slots available during the day; 11:00am-1:00pm/2:00pm-4:00pm/4:30pm-6:30pm.

The deposit amount is 50% of total program cost.
- WHEN DO I NEED TO PAY THE BALANCE OF MY PROGRAM?
The balance must be paid in full 2 days prior to your trip start date.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE DATES OF MY PROGRAM?
If you need to reschedule your program dates, you will have 30 days to do so.

- WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CHANGE THE DATES OF MY PROGRAM?
If you need to reschedule your program dates, you will have 30 days to do so.
- WHAT HAPPENS IF THE SPOT HAS TO CANCEL MY PROGRAM?
In the event that The Spot must cancel a trip due to insufficient sign ups or other reasons beyond our control, you will receive a full refund.
- WHO WILL MY GUIDE OR INSTRUCTOR BE?
All Spot Climbing School guides & instructors are highly skilled professionals who have been trained in wilderness medicine, rescue techniques, risk management and incident management. Our guides bring with them a wealth of personal and professional experience, which has allowed them to achieve and develop excellent safety records, solid judgment, superb educational skills and overall great client care.
Upon registration and full payment, you will receive a confirmation email with a detailed gear list.
- DO I HAVE TO CARRY A BACKPACK?
On outdoor guided programs you will be asked to carry a daypack with personal items and minimal group gear.
- IS THERE A PLACE AT THE SPOT TO STORE EXTRA PERSONAL ITEMS?
You are welcome to store personal items in our locker room. Complimentary lock usage is available. Please note: The Spot is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
- WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE LIKE ON MY PROGRAM?
Weather is unpredictable. BUT, we schedule programs early in the morning to help avoid afternoon weather.
- HOW PHYSICALLY FIT DO I HAVE TO BE?
On average our programs are not extremely demanding. A moderate level of physical fitness is recommended.
- CAN THE SPOT CREATE A PROGRAM SPECIFICALLY FOR ME?
Yes. We offer full custom tailored programs to meet your specific needs and desires. We work directly with you in developing the best itinerary possible.
